What does Gyoseishoshi Lawyer do for me?
Gyoseishoshi lawyers prepare documents to be submitted to public offices (ministries and agencies, prefectural offices, city and ward offices, village mayor's office, police stations, etc.), documents concerning rights and obligations, documents concerning proof of facts, and provide consultation on the contents thereof, and represent clients in these submission procedures.
The scope of work includes the preparation and consultation of civil documents such as contracts, content certificates, divorce agreements, and other documents related to rights, obligations, and facts. The documentation and consultation services provided by Gyoseishoshi Lawyer are also called preventive legal services, and are intended to obtain agreements in writing in advance in order to prevent future disputes.
What does a financial planner do for me?
A financial planner (FP) is a professional who has a wide range of knowledge about finance, taxation, real estate, housing loans, insurance, education funds, and pension systems related to household finances, and works with clients to help them achieve their dreams and goals.
FP services are often provided free of charge by banks, securities firms, insurance companies, and real estate companies, but all of them offer free consultations in order to sell their own products. As an independent FP, we provide consultation services, but we do not sell financial products.
What does an inheritance diagnostician do?
Inheritance diagnosticians are "inheritance experts" with a wide range of knowledge related to inheritance. Our goal is to eliminate contentious inheritance (disputed inheritance) and increase the number of smiling inheritances. We can provide consultation even before actual legal issues arise, such as the preparation of an ending note, and work in cooperation with lawyers, tax accountants, judicial scriveners, and administrative scriveners as needed.
What can I ask at the initial meeting?
Yes. We welcome your questions about anything related to your daily life, such as "What should I do?" You can ask us any questions about your daily life, concerns, worries, and so on. We believe that Gyoseishoshi Lawyers should be the closest consultants to you as a local lawyer in your neighborhood. Depending on the content of your consultation, we will assist you if there is anything we can do to help you, or we can refer you to appropriate consultants such as government offices, attorneys, tax accountants, and judicial scriveners.
Does it cost money to consult with you?
We do not charge for the initial one-hour consultation.
At the initial meeting, we will first provide you with guidelines on how to resolve your concerns.
I don't want my family to know that I am consulting with you?
Our office offers several locations for interviews.
For your convenience, we can visit you at your home or at a nearby coffee shop. We also have three meeting rooms in Tokyo where privacy is ensured. We also offer online meetings such as ZOOM.
What kind of financial advice can I ask?
Please contact us for any kind of day-to-day financial advice.
Please feel free to consult with us about anything, such as reviewing household finances, purchasing real estate, reviewing insurance, investment methods, and retirement funds.
I'm afraid that if I ask for money advice, I'll have to buy something.
We do not solicit or sell any financial products (stocks, mutual funds, insurance, etc.).
If you are considering purchasing a specific product, we can look at it and offer advice, but you cannot purchase it from our office.
Do I have to tell you all about my financial situation and everything?
No, we do not. We will not ask you about your specific assets in detail at the initial consultation.
When we are assigned to a specific case, such as life planning, wills, inheritance procedures, etc., we will need to ask detailed information about your assets in order to prepare legally valid documents.
I am afraid to talk about my personal situation.
Our firm is registered as an administrative scrivener, registered with the FP Association, and registered with the Inheritance Diagnosis Association.
Confidentiality obligations are imposed by the laws and regulations pertaining to each of these operations, and violations are subject to imprisonment and other penalties.
All personal information obtained for business purposes will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law.

When will the cost start?
After the initial free meeting, we will provide you with an estimate of the cost of accepting the case at our firm. As a general rule, fees will be charged from the second meeting.

Can you take a look at the mutual funds recommended by my brokerage firm?

I am not sure if it is better to make a will.
A will is the final way to leave your wishes to your loved ones. I'm trying to get my father to make a will, but he doesn't want to.

No. The law prohibits anyone other than an attorney from being involved in a contentious inheritance proceeding. The law prohibits non-lawyers from being involved in inheritance proceedings of a contentious nature. My inheritance includes real estate. Can you help me with the registration of my inheritance?
No. The registration of real estate is the business of a judicial scrivener by law. Real estate registration procedures are the work of judicial scriveners by law. If you consult with us, we will either work with a judicial scrivener or introduce you to a judicial scrivener. If we refer you to another lawyer, we will not charge you any fees.
I have real estate in my estate. Can you dispose of it for me?
No, we do not. Our office does not provide real estate sales services. However, as a licensed real estate agent, we can advise you on the disposition of real estate. In this case, we can provide services as a financial planner.
I would like to hire a foreigner for the first time in my company.
Yes, I am a foreigner. We provide consultation on all aspects of residence permits for foreign nationals.
I am a foreigner currently working in Japan. Can I bring my family to Japan?
Yes, I would like to apply for a visa. There are many types of status of residence. We will inherit, prepare, and act as an intermediary for the most suitable residence status application for you. Consultation is available in Japanese and English.
I would like to open a store next month.
Each type of license or permit has its own requirements, and if you do not meet the requirements, you cannot apply for the license or permit. Even if the requirements are met, the period of time required for the permit or license will vary depending on the type of permit or license and the status of the administrative agency. The standard processing period for each type of license or approval is set, and to some extent we can advise you of the period required for examination when you apply for a license or approval. Is there a fee even if I don't get a business license?
Our firm offers licensing services on a full performance-based fee basis. No fees will be charged if a license or permit is not granted. However, if the information required by the client for the application is false, or if there are special circumstances in the decision of the administrative agency, and we have completed the procedures normally required, we will charge the prescribed fee. In addition, the actual cost of obtaining the documents necessary for the application and the initiation fee will not be refunded.
I live in Tohoku. Can I inherit?
Yes, we do. Our office is available nationwide.
However, if the consultant designates to travel outside of the Kanto area, a specified travel fee will be charged. We recommend a free initial meeting by phone or online such as ZOOM, as there is no cost.
Can I ask for a permit application just by phone or online meeting?
No, we do not. We cannot accept Gyoseishoshi Lawyer services unless we meet with you in person to verify your identity, comply with laws and regulations, and prevent crimes. For financial planner services, we accept online meetings only.
